Yes I am running on an administrator account, and running the setup.exe as administrator. So I tired the manual process, and it goes through the analysis, it downloads 100% of the updates, thenĭoes the update to 100%, goes to the screen where it would usually reboot, gives me the message about rebooting and then. I get is the small grey popup "Something Happened" with the message "Windows 10 Installation has failed". Damned uninformative. I have not had any issues with it, except for the continued failure to update (via automatic update) to 10586. This is a fully functioning 10240 Win10 Pro 64 bit system that was installed toĪn empty hard drive a couple months ago. I have followed the instructions in many messages here, I downloaded the ISO from TechNet, made sure it was the 64 bit version, mounted the ISO and ran setup.exe from there.
